What if the Lord came tonight,
And the way I’ve lived has not been right.
What would I give to turn back time,
If the way I’d lived was not in line?

If I knew the Savior but left Him behind,
And lived my life as though I were blind,
What would my fate be in the end,
If I didn’t follow Jesus, my devoted friend?

I’ll have to answer for my own fate,
For at the last minute it will be too late.
If I didn’t take time to fully prepare,
And devote my life unto His care.

He’s given me time to get it right,
And patiently waited both day and night.
His coming should be my greatest hour
As He comes for me in a flash of power.

God help me prepare for that sweet day
Just help me stay in the narrow way.
When life gets hard and I want to flee,
I’ll strive to be ready when You come for me.

Through the years, I have often had people ask me the question, “Do I have to go
to all of the services of the church? I mean, what if I don’t go on Sunday night?” Well,
allow me to answer that question with a few questions of my own.

1. Do you have to hug and kiss your little children?
2. Do you have to remember your wife’s birthday?
3. Do you have to call home when you’re late coming home from work?
4. Do you have to buy Christmas presents for your family?
5. Do you have to attend ball games and band functions in which your children are
involved?
6. Do you have to attend the funeral of a close friend or loved one?
7. Do you have to say, “I love you” when you love someone?

I think you see the point. Sometimes we are guilty of asking the wrong questions.
There are some things in life that we don’t “have” to do, but we “get” to do. In fact, even asking the question, “Do I have to?” is terribly inappropriate. When my relationship with God is based on what I have to do and what I don’t have to do, then I had better take a long hard look at that relationship.

Before U were thought of time had begun,
God stuck U in the name of His Son.
And each time U pray in His name, you’ll see it’s true,
You can’t spell JesUs and not include U.
You’re a pretty big part of His wonderful name,
For U, He was born; that’s why He came.
And His great love for U is the reason He died.
It even takes U to spell crUcified.
The stones split away, the gold trumpet blew;
This word resUrrection is spelled with a U.
When Jesus left earth at His upward ascension,
He felt there was one thing He just had to mention
“Go into the world and tell every creatUre it’s true that I love them all just like I love U.”
He sent the Holy Spirit on Pentecost Day; He started the chUrch to show men the way.
So many great words are spelled with a U; don’t forget jUdgment is too.
Will we be ready? It all depends on what U will do; He’d like all to know, but it starts with U!

How good is it that God above has never gone on strike,
Because He was not treated fair or saw things He didn’t like.
If only once He’d given up and said, “That’s it, I’m through!”
“I’ve had enough of those on Earth, so this is what I’ll do.
I’ll give my orders to the sun – Cut off the heat supply!”
“And to the moon – give no more light, and run the oceans dry.
Then just to make things really tough and put the pressure on,
Turn off the vital oxygen, till every breath is gone!”
You know He would be justified, if fairness was the game.
For no one has been more abused or met with more disdain
Than God; and yet He carries on, supplying you and me
With all the favors of His grace, and everything for free.
Men say they want a better deal, and so on strike they go,
But what a deal we’ve given God, to whom all things we owe.
We don’t care whom we hurt, to gain the things we like;
But what a mess we’d all be in, if God should go on strike.
